Mr X-haust Mr Tyre – Pietermaritzburg, is an automotive fitment centre based in Pietermaritzburg, KZN. It was a branch of a company that was established in 1971 throughout South Africa. The company started off as simply Mr X-haust, initially doing exhaust systems and repairs only, and as the years progressed, ventured into tyres, towbars, shock absorbers, and brakes. The Pietermaritzburg branch was opened in 1973. Despite being the first - of - its kind fitment center in Pietermaritzburg, the first 5 years proved difficult. By 1980, the Pietermaritzburg branch was destined to close.
